Striped Rafael (PLATYDORAS COSTATUS)

The striped rafael catfish is a nocturnal, armored catfish known for its dark body with creamy-white horizontal stripes and its ability to make buzzing or clicking sounds. Growing up to 24 cm, it is a peaceful, bottom-dwelling scavenger with a broad, flattened body, though juveniles can sometimes be territorial. It is hardy and adapted to a wide range of water parameters, making it popular in the aquarium hobby.
